The MindsMatter assessment is a brief, high-level online tool designed to give you quick feedback, with key actions and recommended resources, to help you take the next step toward creating and sustaining a psychologically healthy and safe organization. The assessment is free, confidential, and easy to use and should take less 10 minutes to complete. This assessment is best filled out someone in your organization with information and insights on existing leadership and human resource policies, practices and participation.

Background

The MindsMatter assessment, launched in December 2016, was originally developed by CivicAction in collaboration with a group of employers, experts, and people with first-hand experience of mental health issues. By the end of 2019, more than 1500 organizations took the assessment and had instant access to a report with links to helpful resources to help them improve workplace mental health. The Mental Health Commission of Canada is honoured to have been given stewardship of MindsMatter as of January 2020. A new version of MindsMatter was launched in January 2021.
